'DiggerDial Program is just the job for you!
We are always looking for friendly, responsible, outgoing students to contact alumni,
friends, and parents. As a part of our important program, you'll raise money for The
Mines Fund, as well as capture personal information so we can better keep in touch with
our valued supporters.
By joining the 'DiggerDialer team, you will make an immediate difference in the Mines
education that you and your peers receive, all while acquiring excellent communication
skills. You will help the School raise funds for scholarships, updated technology,
new facilities, respected faculty, and lab equipment, just to name a few areas The Mines
Fund supports.What,
exactly, will I be doing as a 'DiggerDialer?
You will work in a relaxed student-run environment a minimum of 2 nights per week. Our
shifts are Sunday through Thursday from 6-9 pm. You have the option of choosing which 2
nights fit best into your schedule.
You will attend several training sessions and will learn how to interact with alumni,
friends, and parents. You will also learn how to use an automated call system called
DialVision. Imagine…you won’t even have to dial the phone!
Most importantly, during each call you will update personal alumni information, answer any
questions about Mines, inform alums about any new happenings, and secure funds for your
very own school!
What
does the job pay?
A non-work study position, you will make $8.00 an hour
the first semester. A performance raise of .25 is given each semester if you consistently
meet goals and attendance expectations. In addition, bonuses and incentives are given
regularly because hey, we know that everyone loves
a little competition. Rewards keep callers on their toes!
Some other benefits of the job are immeasurable. You will gain invaluable communications
skills that will give you an edge in the “real world.” Talking to strangers is
an art form! You will also make some potential connections and network with some very
influential people.
And on the most basic level, the job is easy! You get paid to talk on the phone. So, what
