What is The Mines Fund? The Mines Fund brings Colorado School of Mines alumni, parents and friends together to collectively advance and enrich the School. Contributions made to The Mines Fund provide unrestricted financial support for ongoing, day-to-day needs, making an immediate impact on the lives of our students and faculty. Annual gifts to The Mines Fund allow current students to receive a superior education in engineering and applied sciences. Students are the primary beneficiaries through areas The Mines Fund supports: Unrestricted annual gifts to The Mines Fund assist the School by providing the flexibility to meet financial demands and, in addition to the areas above, can be used wherever the need is greatest. Why Support The Mines Fund? The ultimate measure of any giving program is how it helps the individual student. Mines is able to provide a world-class education to its students because of generous private support from alumni, parents and friends. In fiscal year 2007, The Mines Fund raised over $1.2 million dollars in unrestricted support that directly benefited current students! Your gift, regardless of its size, will ultimately make a difference for every studenteither by allowing them to continue their education through scholarships or by improving the quality of the education they receive. Higher participation among our alumni is a vote of confidence in the mission of the School, and also attracts corporations and foundations to make larger investments in capital projects, such as new academic programs and technology upgrades. The participation percentage is also a key factor in how Mines is compared to like colleges by U.S. News and World Report, and affects the perceived value of a Mines degree. Your gift today will help Mines reach its ambitious goals and extend the quality of a Mines degree this year and for many years to come. We invite you to become part of this important partnership by making a gift or pledge to The Mines Fund. You can make a difference! |
