Forward
In honor of Max W. Bowen ’24, J. Robert Maytag generously funded The Max W. Bowen Mineral Processing Laboratory. Located in Brown Hall, the state-of-the-art laboratory will enhance Mines’ standing as the leading university in the training of engineers for the mineral resource industries. The mineral processing laboratory will be used to train undergraduate students in the important aspects of metallic minerals, energy minerals, and industrial minerals processing. The facility will also accommodate graduate level research, as well as function as a testing facility for company-sponsored research projects.
