With the Manufacturers
These are just a few of the products advertised to Mines' alumni during
1952 as "cutting edge", "the wave of the future", and "absolutely
necessary"!
Sew Without Thread
Throw away your needles and thread.
Enjoy more
leisure time by using this new adhesive fabric mender
called Fix-so.

sheets, turns up hems, puts in zippers.
Anything you
can do with a needle and thread can be done faster
and better with this new magic mending fluid.
Apply
like glue and press firmly together- that's all there is
to it.
Can be used on any color fabric and is guaranteed
to wash, iron, or boil.
One tube will darn over 150 socks
and mend hundreds of rips and tears. Write to Cossman Co. for more details.
Pioneer Will Exhibit Working
Model Crushing Plant
Pioneer Engineering Works' exhibit at the Mining Show in Denver, beginning
the week of September 22, will feature a one-fourth scale model crushing and screening
plant in actual operation.
The plant consists of of a manganese steel feeder, feeding to a
2436 jaw crusher, a triple roll crusher, and a two deck vibrating screen, with two
conveyors connecting the units.
The jaw crusher is in open circuit, with the triple roll
crusher and the screen in closed circuit.
All units in the model are authentic in every respect, including
bearings, adjustments, and appearance.
Rapid Photo Copying Machine
Photo-exact, finished copies of any office record can now be made in less
than a minute without developing, washing, fixing or drying.
COPYFIX, is the name of this
amazing development which makes finished, photo-exact, positive copies of any record,
regardless of type or color, from originals up to 14" wide in any length.
Extremely small, light and compact, COPYFIX takes not much more space than
dictating equipment. No special installation is required- the machine operates after being
plugged into any electrical outlet. No darkroom is needed.
Just place the record to be copied face to face with a sheet of COPYFIX negative
paper on the printer and expose.
Remove them from the printer and place the exposed
negative paper with a sheet of positive COPYFIX paper in the COPYFIX. In about ten
seconds, the two sheets will emerge from a rear slot of the machine.
Peel them apart and
you have a perfect positive copy for immediate use.
